Using the latest test version here, I get the "Error opening: jsonrpc.dat" message (if it's missing), but when I press the update button, I don't get the message anymore. Are you still getting the message after you pressed the update button?

I did a check on everything I could think of and there don't seem to be a "Add to Favourites" other than from the XBMC GUI. Closest thing I found was to get to the favorites window.
You would need to ask in the XBMC forum if it can be added. And then I can add it to the plugin.

I rechecked the code and you can't be using that test version, please download it again and test. All the test releases have the same version number(because I'm lazy).
If you get the same (or similar) error I'll look again.

thanks for the help, i tried but i did not understand nothing, im new with eventghost, so when you have the time if you could help it will be great ( no pressure )
You need to use eg.event.payload["volume"] to get the volume.
To test it you can put a ShowOSD action in the macro with this code in the "Text to display:" field:
