skype

Post by sasdas »

Hi there, I've been using Event ghost for my htpc and everything works great but I use Skype on it as well, and that's where the problem lies, quite often, Skype is left logged on and people would call but unfortunately either I'm not their or the TV is not displaying the PC since I could be using the TV for something else, regardless, I was wondering if their was a way to capture the event when the Skype incoming call window appears, since I use a plugin called auto remote for my phone, if I could find that event that happens when someone is calling, I could then have a notification sent to my phone.

You can try the process watcher or task create/switch events plugins.

If skypes creates a new window, you should be able to catch it with these ones.

I have not tried this myself, but I think you could get this to work using the Growl plugin for Eventhost.

So I looked into this, and was able to do with that, but I was unable to install growl plugin for eventghost, I then went to this link from there
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=3517
Which led me to the EventGhost display and the second EventGhost forwarder from a post by Pako. which lets Growl send events to eventghost. In the end, it worked, so thank you very much.
