Hi, I am trying to figure out if there's a way to get the guide button (the green Xbox button in the middle of the controller) to be recognized as an input? The reason for this is I want to make that button a launcher of sorts to automatically run a program. If I install the plugin as "generic hid device", select the Xbox 360 controller as the device, and choose raw input, I can get eventghost to see the controller buttons, axis' etc, but for some reason each button press gives off two seperate hiD calls, for example:
I press the "x" button once, log shows up something like:
HID:000020000044
HID:000034400000
Rather than just one command. Furthermore, the second command is the same for every button. What's interesting is the Xbox guide button only shows up the one hid command, which if I give it an action, seems to work, BUT.....because all buttons call out this same exact command, pressing any button on the controller will do the command. :-/
Any help on this would be much appreciated. The reason I'm doing this is because I'm making an HTPC Rig and I was hoping it would be a cool idea to use the Xbox guide button to run a program like "hyperspin" a GUI fronted for gaming emulation and launching PC games as well. The idea behind this is to try and avoid the keyboard and mouse as much as possible. To be honest I'm actually using a PS3 controller, which with the drivers I use, emulates as if its an xbox 360 controller. The home button does work, because in steam it launches big screen mode, and another program I use that uses the Xbox guide button, works. So I was hoping I could get eventghost to see this button properly.

Xbox 360 controller guide button?
Re: Xbox 360 controller guide button?
So I'm having the same problem and would love an answer to this question. I also am having the issue of everything working when I set it up, but as soon as I launch another program or minimize EG my Keyboard Emulation somehow breaks. I can go and delete all the events and reassign them exactly the same and it works again in the log window, but again the second I open another program or minimize EG I loose everything again. Really frustrating.
