Evenghost slow to react since v1568

Post by ti_dust »

I'm not sure exactly how to describe what I'm seeing, but here goes. I'm using the Generic HID plugin with raw input to control volume functions. I attached a screenshot of my config. With v1568, eventghost reacts instantaneously to my HID commands. Because I'm using the autorepeat functionality, this can mean 10+ HID events coming through in a matter of 1 or 2 seconds. It works the way it should. With v1582, v1600, or v1610, it does not act instantaneously. A quick turn of my volume knob keeps eventghost churning out events for many seconds afterwards. Each HID event takes much longer to process, thus making precise volume control impossible. I've confirmed on the newer builds that the HID events are still coming quickly as before. I verified this by disabling the volume control macros and simply watching the HID events come in as I turn the volume knob. So, it appears it is eventghost reacting to the events which is taking the extra time, not the HID plugin itself.

I'm running Win7 x64 SP1 on a AMD FX 8350 CPU with 16GB RAM. Any thoughts?

This looks like a pretty serious problem.
I hope I'll be able to reproduce it and subsequently also fix.

I'm sorry, but I can not reproduce it.
Please try to do some precise instructions (including sample configuration)
how I can reproduce it.
