HID Not recognized

Post by marquisexb »

I bought a remote off ebay (xpc-rc01) that I'm having trouble getting working with event ghost.

AFAIK, it installs as two HID devices: "HID Keyboard Device" and "HID-compliant Mouse". The problem is I can't seem to get eventghost to pick it up. I've installed the MCE Remote for Windows7/Vista (with the service) and the Generic HID plugin. The latter shows some odd symbols (looks cyrillic) under device name, manu, etc. I've tried each of the 4, with no results.

One more interesting thing. I've looked at this AutoHotKey page, and was able to get responses from the keys. However playing around with the registry didn't seem to do anything (as indicated in "Extra: 5. Disabling/modifying original key functions" of that page.

Not sure what to do next. I like eventghost & use it on other machines. It seems that I might be able to build a AHK script, but I'd much rather use event ghost. Any help on how to proceed to get it working with eventghost would be appreciated.

Thanks! :D
