Plugin: Joystick - minor (but annoying) problem

Post by deco »

hi there!

i'm new to eventghost so this problem might already be fixed or me doing something wrong lol, anyway here we go:

i only use eventghost with a wireless xbox 360 controller (using the usb reciever) , all works fine using the plugin "Joystick" BUT if eventghost is started before the controller itself is on it does NOT work, meaning i have to quit eventghost, press the button on my controller to turn it on, and then start eventghost again before it works..

meaning if the pc is restartet and game controller is not currently on (it turns itself off after a few minutes of no usage) it's not working :( not really couch potato approveable ;)

any solution for this?

thanks

This occurs with all programs -- if the controller isn't on before a program is started, the program won't recognize it.

It's possible that you could work around this with a macro that disables and re-enables the Joystick plugin, which could be triggered with System.DeviceAttached. If that works, let us know; if it doesn't, I'm not sure what else to suggest.

Great! And that's exactly what I meant. I'm planning to setup an Xbox controller as well at some point, so this is good to know.
