IgorPlug-USB & Speedy2 missing buttons names

Hi!

First, thanks for this great application.

Eventghost version is latest (0.4.1 r1610).

My IR remote is Speedy 2 http://www.cme.it/meli1/pdf/speedy2_gb.pdf

Almost all button name is correct, example if I press VOL UP, Eventghost say: EZMCUSB.RC5.TV1.VolumeUp etc.

But two button name is missing:

If I press "AV" on remote, Eventghost log: EZMCUSB.RC5.TV1.39
If I press "PAUSE" on remote, Eventghost log: EZMCUSB.RC5.VCR1.30

This is not really big problem, but I can solve this?

If I use original IgorPlug-USB driver under XP, the result is similar, this is not x64 driver problem.

It is unclear to me what you want. The messages are not correct, but you can use them in macros just the same, right?
The names of events do not have to reflect what they really do to be still useful.

If you are using the Eventghost events for something else, like for on-screen display or payload for other applications, you can make use of a python script to 'translate' the event into something else. If that is what you need, let us know and we will help you further.

Okay example, if configuration is empty, except autostart/plugin:EZMCUSB is active, ths pressed keys show in log with correct names, example VolumeUP, ChannelUP etc,only two buttons name is missing, see my previous post: "AV" and "Pause". If you do not do anything with the events from the log, why would you care if the right information is listed in the logs? I still do not understand.

If you insist to have the correct event names appearing in the log, you could create a python command that activates when the specific event is received in the log (i.e. when you press the PAUSE button, for instance).

To do so, create a new macro, drag the event "EZMCUSB.RC5.VCR1.30" from the event event log onto it and then add a python command action as follows:
eg.TriggerEvent("PAUSE", payload=None, prefix="EZMCUSB.RC5.VCR1.30", source=eg)

Now, when you press PAUSE on your remote, the event "EZMCUSB.RC5.VCR1.30" will appear in the event log, which triggers your new macro, which will issue the event
"EZMCUSB.RC5.VCR1.30.PAUSE" into your event log.

Again, I have no clue if that is what you want and why you'd want that anyway, but there it is.

Thanks, and I see this working, but not really nice solution, because:

If I press vol downn, I see this in log: EZMCUSB.RC5.TV1.VolumeDown
If I press pause - with your macro - I see this:

This is possible?

And why important this?

1. not ugly, unified.

2. My second remote control keys is undeterminable, example:

Nice solution, if I convert these keys to real names (Volume Down/Pause etc) in common place/folder, because I leave all script and events untouched and my two remote controls works. This is programmer logic, the result is clean code.

Question, these key names, example:

where come from? From driver? Or Evenghost app converted from driver data?

Thanks, but I absolutly know what I want Now I use this app to control volume, and control foobar audio app (seek/volume/play/pause/next track etc.)

Okay, I modified this script, and the result is OK for me.

Input example this: EZMCUSB.RC5.VCR1.30

Script:

But this is not perfect solution, because "Autorepeat current macro" is not working if I use this new event. "Autorepeat current macro" action need of forward/rewind/volume functions...
