HI,
I'm sure that this has been asked but some more info would be good. I would like to run Event Ghost on a raspberry pi. I'm sure that the Pi runs python, as its preferred scripting language and I was kind of under the impression that EG runs over python. Is that correct? If so...... how would one go about making EG run on a PI? I have been using EG as a system automation controller now for about two years ( I was using AMX before that) an I can see a place in the market for a smaller Pi version - not requiring a HDD or any other ancillary devices. I also currently use Arduino based Ethernet to IR/serial bridges to handle the IR and sometimes serial over TCP or UDP this makes for not needing any hardware to drive these devices directly as this is done over a TCP or UDP socket depending on what I am wanting to achieve. I would be interested in either doing some of the work towards this myself or providing assistance to someone more learned than myself if this proves to be viable. I have some experience with python scripting and plugin writing (I have written a Smart HDL lighting plugin and a Clipsal Cbus Pluggin)
Cheers
John

Re: EventGhost On Rasberry Pi
Sure, there is python, but there is also C/C++ ...
Eg is designed to run on win32 on x86.
Pi is ARM ....
