First post on this board so be gentle...
Trying to get a bit more control over one of my media centre Remotes. It a Speedlink SL-6399.
Originally was about 5 hid devices after installing eventghost plugin "Speed-Link SL-6399 Media Remote Plugin" prompted to install replacement drivers turning into 2 devices.
Functions I was after more control over work great using the plugin. Volume / CH / Cursors / Back / Power few other odd ones all now appear with lightening bolt SpeedLink.[Somebutton] I can map.
Trouble is some of the buttons now don't work. Mostly the media buttons (REW/PLAY/FWD/STOP etc). They appear when pressed as "i" in white speechmark with a unique code e.g. i #1 (3, 0, 5, 0, 0, 0, 0, 0). I can't seem to map or do anything with these.

So have I missed something? Some addtional plugin perhaps?
Is this a consequence of running a non media centre version of XP? [This is a crappy old laptop that sits on top of my fridge/freezer for kitchen media play back.
Am I better off going back to MS driver and mess around with the HID plugin?
Someone please help make each evenings washing up/cleaning a bit more bearable
Thanks
