Harmony + Eventghost

Hello,

I'm facing a problem with my RC5 receiver, Eventghost and my Logitech Harmony.
I try to control mediaportal with it, but already fail with the configuration of Eventghost and the Harmony. For the Harmony I decided to configure it to be a Hauppauge PVR350, which in the end seems to have all the buttons required for mediaportal and sends RC5 commands. When I now open Eventghost I'm adding the plugins for IgorPlugUSB and for MediaPortal and start to assign the different buttons.

Doing this I mentioned, that the signals received by the RC5 controller are not always recognized well. From time to time the signals are send correctly (e.g. IgorPlugUSB.RC5.Phone.17 being the cursor right button), but when repeating the action, it is not recognized anymore (either being IgorPlugUSB.Unknown.533FFC or IgorPlugUSB.Unknown.14CFC0 or anything else).

So I'm not able to assign the actions correctly, and even if, I would end in pressing a button millions of times in mediaportal to get the action I wanted.

In the end I think the issue could be within two components:
1. IR Receiver: its a self built one from ocinside.de - I'm currently investigating this
2. IgorPlugUSB in Eventghost - I'm not sure if this could be the reason that the signals are not detected correctly.

Can you use the Harmony to emulate another device, e.g. an MCE remote? Your receiver might have better luck with that, or something else.
