Disable default win-functions of mce remote

Post by Sagehorn »

Hi there

Suddenly, my configs in eventghost for the toshiba x10 remote control disappeared while doing stuff. Don't know how or why, never mind (mabye). The result is however, that my remote now sends commands to windows again, like it did some years ago.
Example: I used to emulate mouse movements with my direction buttons, but now there is also that standard win-arrow behaviour etc etc..
Any idea why this happened or better, how I can stop it again?

Greets & Thx!

Perhaps a problem with the AlternateMCEIR Service?

I would suggest that you open the settings/configuration for the plug-in, click on the Uninstall Service, and then click on Install Service.

The problem is, that the functions are there even without eventghost.. so it's kind of a "global issue".

edit: okay, i found the solution:

there were a lot of so called HID conform devices installed in my device manager, and they supported that default windows features. stays the question, why there are only so few thread about it.. nah whatever.. i'm glad it works again :)
