terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost
Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost
Hi,
the issue with duplicating a layout appeared in 1.36d and is supposed to be fixed in 1.37. Are you sure you have that version? If so, please write more details so I can fix it. In particular, is the window to select the layout completely blank or do you see the list entry separators (the horizontal black lines)?
I have to think about the text alignment. Seems to be doable.

Got another up date, which fixed both issues.

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost
I'm trying to create some complex macro (with IF action), but it does not work.
Either this is a bug or (this is more likely) I'm doing something wrong:
1) I have set a global variable "myvar"
2) When I check the Status, so I see this: myvar: Abcd
3) When I give into IF action this condition: $string{${myvar}==Abcd}, then program continues branches If False.
Why? What is the correct syntax?
Thanks for any help.

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost
I have one question.
I have a macro in which several actions are used.
I need to change the order of these actions.
How do I do this?
It is possible that there is no way for it.
In that case, please take it as a feature request.

Chris,
Here are a couple of more items to report:
It appears that the "test" function doesn't work. I see the event created in EG, but it just shows null.
Also, if you happen to do something stupid, like change the width of an object to like 3 - it's virtually impossible to edit the object ever again. Fortunately, I had an OTG cable that allowed me to attach a mouse to my phone to where I could manage to click on the object to recover.
Thanks! keep up the good work.

Hi everyone,
haven't been here for a while. Sorry for not reacting to the last posts.
@Paco: You are right about the string function. You were doing everything right but there is a bug, I fixed it in the beta which I just uploaded (v.138beta2). About the order of Actions: In the new beta you can select them with a long click. Then you have reordering and copy&paste functionality. It should do what you wanted. This has bothered me for a long time, as well and I finally remembered to fix this, even before your request ^^
@rdgerken: I'll have a look at the test function. I think this has been reported before but I totally forgot about it. It's the next thing I'll fix! The problem with the non-editable widgets is an annoying one. I'll try to implement an overview fo all widgets in a layout.
Thanks for all the feedback! Keep it up!

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost
Quick update: I found the issue on the test function. It will be in the new version. Before I can release it, I would like to know if the moving, copying and so on of Actions works as expected. If anyone found any issues (also if everything works well), please give me a short hint.
Chris

I have a feature request. It would be nice if we could add remote buttons into an expandable notification so that no matter what app we were in, we could swipe down the notification shade, expand the Terremote notification, and have quick access to our most important buttons. This could work similarly to how Google Play Music's notification is set up except without album art.
Here is an example of what I'm talking about:

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost
There is still one report that said Macro actions could not be added or edited, anymore. I was not able to see this. Everything works fine on my devices. Maybe people can check and contact me if they have this problem.
Hello Chris,
First I would like to thank you for all your work and quick bug fixes.
I sent the error report "Macro actions could not be added or edited anymore" the recent update fixed this problem. Thank you
To Everyone,
I have detailed instructions on how to connect a terRemote seekbar to the ISY insteon controller using tasker which can control home lighting and update the seekbar with the current light level. Because this is not related to eventghost I will not post the long instructions on this forum but will send them to anyone who wants them or post them somewhere else if requested.
Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost
Posted them here. Doesn't matter if theses are EG forums. This thread is for all things related to terRemote.Javier wrote:There is still one report that said Macro actions could not be added or edited, anymore. I was not able to see this. The version 138beta2 is available somewhere?

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost
Well this last update really messed up a few things for me. I have two hand sets and been having issues with both. The main one is that I can not modify my buttons actions on one hand held. For example I have a bunch of buttons that are Network Event (HTTP). Every time I try to modify the action, I get the message "Unfortunately, terRemote Pro has stopped" However it seems I can modify Network Event (eventghost).
Now on my other hand set, I seem to have all sorts of issues adding/ deleting and modifying all types of actions. Those how ever seem to be intermittent. Usually when I have that problem, if I go into and edit the label of the button, save and exit, when I come back in to edit that button, I can then change the actions. There has also been a lot of times when I go into edit a button and all the fields are blank. If i cancel and come back in then the data is there.

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost
Thanks for the quick fix on the editing of HTTP Actions. Patch fixed the issue.
I have a different question. Setting up a new hand set, the same one that seemed to be a bit glitchy. Its an Samsung Galaxy S. I know its an older phone and running an older vs of Android. I am having issues with sliders. The width of the vertical slider bar is very wide. It is so wide that the the Thumb area doesn't even span the entire width of the bar. I can not seem to get the slider bar thinner. On my tablet, I can get the slider bar nice and thin. Is this due to using a smaller hand set or might this be related to an older vs of Android. I have done every thing I can think of.
Thanks
Mike
Just found out if I imported a layout that had a horizontal slider, it comes in thin, but if I try to edit the slider it goes wide. So if I just go into edit the slider and don't change any thing. When I come back out the slider is about twice as wide. If I add a new slider, it comes in wide.

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost
Looks like a very nice app! I've done some testing with it yesterday and am thinking to include it in my domotica setup. I do have a few questions at the moment:
- how secure is it to send eg actions from outside my lan (thinking about using a no-ip adres)
- is there a good way to get messages back to my phone outside my lan (ip changes)
- when i click a button on my homescreen (created using "create a button on homescreen") it opens terRemote
I've also tested EGremote, it has a good working Speech Recognition option, would this be hard to implement in terRemote?

Re: terRemote - Android remote app for EventGhost
Not sure how to help you with the first two part, that has more to do with EG then it does terRemote. I'm sure it can be done with opening the correct ports, but I just don't know how to help you with that.
As for the third part, not sure what your question is. Yes you can create a button and place it on your devices home screen, yes you can have that button open to a particular layout page.
