generic USB receiver support ?

Post by barthek »

Hi,

Ive recently bought a 'generic' USB IRDA receiver,
this particular one is recognised as Kingsun KS959
and is seen in windows XP as a regular infrared device.

there are no COM ports created though.

i have a couple of mobile-management programs that
work with this device with no problem and was wondering
whether it is possible to use it with eventghost ?

i think a lot of people would benefit as these dirty cheap USB
devices are so easy to be got now.

thanks,

IRDA signals are quite different from consumer ir remote signals. Therefore those receivers won't work.
