Eventghost in Metro Windows 8?

I do not have a Windows 8(.1) device yet, but have been reading about it and found out that tablets with BayTrail processors feature 'connected standby'.
This means that they can be in 'switched off' states for days on end on a single battery charge, but they will keep their LAN connection and Metro applications are able to keep working 'behind the scenes'. For instance, an incoming Skype call (when running this as a Metro app, i.e. not normal desk top application) will still create an audible notification sound.

It would be very interesting if this same process could be used with Eventghost. This way, alarms from Eventghost from another PC (or from an Android phone using for instance the TerRemote plugin) could sound an alarm from the tablet when the tablet is off. It would be even better if the tablet could be woken up to show, for instance, IP camera's. This way, the tablet can be used as a very powerful surveillance camera viewer.

Do any of you, who are using Windows 8 on connected standby capable devices, know if the above would be possible and feasible?

Ps: It seems Microsoft is eager to get Metro style applications (I believe the name Metro is no longer officially used by Microsoft, but I keep using it because that is the name that is best known), because I have seen they even published an app that makes Metro style apps:
