One thing would be nice to have is text alignment. With working the DirecTV feedback, the text fields will vary in size so it would be nice to align every thing to the left instead of center of the field.

Wow, the activity in this thread is amazing, guys! About the text-alignment: If you don't have a background anyway, you can just set the button width to 0 (=auto size). This is then basically the same as a left alignment.

There is still no way to set custom drawables dynamically. I'll try to put it in.

The new version is out, including some of the requested features like keeping the screen on in the log and setting the maximum value of a seekbar (along with other new values).

A new feature you should try out: There is now the possibility to disable the lock screen while terRemote is showing so that you can access the remote faster. This only works for non-secure lock screens. If you are using some code or pattern to unlock the device, you can still put terRemote "above" the lock screen so that you don't have to enter the code for regular remote activities. I'll also try the feature with the suggested activate the device by moving it.

Need a little help again with Python scripts.

I am trying to get this to work.

Not sure of proper format to inset offset as a variable into the string

Tried a verity of things, another sample is

offset = int("1388962800")
f = urllib.urlopen('http://192.168.0.116:8080/tv/getProgInf ... e={"offset"}')

But cant seem to get it to work. If I put 388962800 into the string, it works, so I know it has some thing to do with how I am inserting the variable.

Tried setting up udp listening but not quite sure how to, i dont get any info in the log. Udp is what i'd rather use as i want to be able to use multiple devices with terremote.

Anyone care to give me a quick guide of getting information from udp?

Not at home right now, but I will see if I can help.

After you turned on listen for external event in terRemote, kill the app in task manager and then restart it. Depending on what version of Android you are running, you should see the terRemote icon in the upper left menu bar of your device. Just like the one you can see in my posted picture above. On the EG side, just make sure you got the proper IP and port # entered into the eventsender plugin. The error you are getting is because EG is not seeing terRemote. Those should go away once you get things working.

Once every thing is working you should then be able to see events in the log.

Thanks for reply, i have tried terminating the termote procces and starting up again without sucess.
I can get information from terrmote to eg fine but not other way around. It just wont show up in the log (not with udp or tcp (eg network sender for tcp and broadcaster for udp) prefferably i want the udp to work, but tcp is ok to i guess.

In settings there is a prefix setting for the udp listener, what shound that be and how do i set it up correctly in EG?
Also on the homepage and in the app it talks about terremote plugin for eg is that better than network sender / reciever?

Hard to diagnose from here. I guess the error you are getting is "NetworkSender failed" which is just the generic error of the NetworkSender plugin and does not say much.
Are all of the following points checked?
- In the NetworkSender preferences, the IP is the one of the phone (check either in the terRemote status page or take the first payload entry when sendin from tR to EG, they should match)
- In the terRemote Options, "Listen to network events" is checked
- In the "Server configuration" option below "Listen to network events", the port and the password match the ones of the NetworkSender plugin preferences in EG

Actually, from your description I am quite sure that you have checked all of these things already. But I want to list them for completeness.

Since neither TCP nor UDP worked for you, my guess is that your firewall blocks outgoing connections of EG. Do you have a second computer in the nework with EG installed? You should maybe test communication between all devices.
If there is no second computer but a second Android device, you can try to send Network Events from device to device. If it works, it's not a terRemote issue. The "find server" function of terRemote also finds other terRemote devices if they are ready to receive network events. Maybe try this as well.

Oh, and your last questions: the terRemote EG plugin is not out, yet. Anyway, communication is basically the same so I don't think this would help. The UDP prefix just means that udp events all have the name "UDP.xxx" where UDP is the prefix. Same functionality as in the EG NetworkReceiver plugin. Not relevant for whether or not UDP receiving works.

Ok so here's an update, when i got home yesterday sending tcp from EG to terremote worked. i didn't change any settings or anything it just started working anyway :S, UDP broadcast still dont work tho and i can't realy figure out why.
but atleast i can start creating one of my "smarthome controllpanels" now, just need to learn some python string parsing and i will have all my info sending correctly .

Oh, i thought the UDP preffix was some kind of filter and i had to make sure it was set to same settings as in EG?
