Eventghost with PCTV IR receiver and Xbox remote

Hi!
I would like to know if the following setup is doable.
I have an old Pinnacle PCTV IR receiver that I would like to use with EventGhost to control XBMC for Windows.
Is it possible with Eventghost to use that receiver?
If it is possible, can I do some learn of the original Xbox remote IR codes? In order to use the XBox remote with the Windows XBMC?
I was able to use the Xbox remote and PCTV receiver using uICE and it works, but uICE is expensive for me and sometimes it doesnt work very well and gets confused.
From what I hear eventGhost is better for XBMC.

I don't know about the Pinnacle IR receiver, so I can't really answer your question.

But since you are trying to use the Xbox(original xbox?) remote with EG, I wanted to mention that I made a plugin for it a while back. To make it work you need to wire the receiver unit that came with the remote to an usb port, there are wiring instructions on the internet or you could get an adapter piece for a few bucks.

Where can I download the plugin?
I can try it with PCTV serial receiver? or it only works with USB receivers?
The whole idea of using the PCTV receiver is since its so small it can fit inside the box where I have the media center PC installed (an old Yamaha CD player box). I need the IR receiver to be small enough to fit where the original Yamaha IR receiver led was and the PCTV receiver fits there like a charm. The Xbox one is too big and bulky to fit.

The xbox remote plugin is included in new EG builds. But it won't work with other receivers only the original one.

Sorry I can not help with that Pinnacle receiver though.
