Apple Mini + Harmony/Apple remote set-up

Post by daw0lverine »

Hello everybody,

First of all I want to apologize if the question has already been answered, I searched on the forum but couldn't find any relevant help.
I have an Apple Mini with Event Ghost configured to capture events from a Logitech Harmony remote, and it works great.
I would like to use the Apple Remote simultaneously but the problem is that the HID. codes for the 2 remotes are different for similar function buttons, is there any way to create a distinction between the 2 ?
For instance on my Harmony HID.2687EE9703 is the code for the "Play" button, and on the Apple Remote, it is exactly the same code but for the "Menu" button

Thanks in advance

I don't believe there is a way to detect which remote the code is from if the code is the same. But can't you reprogram the Harmony to use other codes?
