Eventghost not responding to Zotac Nano ID64 IR Sensor

Post by shalamigri »

Not sure if I'm in the right place, but I'm sure my issue has more to do with a plugin, but I got no response in the plugins section.

I must start by saying that I use Eventghost on 3 other Zotac PC's and I have no issues at all with those PC's. Each of those PC's have external USB MCE IR sensors that use the eHome Infrared Transceiver driver. I used the pre-installed "MCE Remote Win Vista/7" Plugin in eventghost on those pc's and installed the service to get it going. No problems there...

My issue is with a Zotac Nano ID64 I just purchased. It has an IR sensor that's built into the unit and uses a special driver from Zotac (Nuvoton SIO CIR Device Driver), but it shows up in device manager as the same "eHome Infrared Transceiver driver" as my other PC's. I used the pre-installed "MCE Remote Win Vista/7" Plugin in eventghost and installed the service, but eventghost is not seeing any button presses.

I'm guessing that I need to be using another plugin in eventghost, but I don't know which one to use. I've used the Generic HID plugin and the keyboard plugin, but with that setup, eventghost only recognizes some of the button presses from the WMC remote I'm using such as up, down, left, right and numbers. i'm mainly trying to program the color buttons.

If anyone knows what plugin I should be using or if there is some other plugin that I need to install manually, your help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
