I have some questions for people that know more about the pushbullet concept: does all communication go through a third-party service (i.e. the server of the 'pushbullet people')?
If so, could they see/read all notifications, files, pictures, etc. that are sent to and from my android device and my pc through their server?
Any other thoughts about security?

Thanks Pako, I once again would like to thank you very much for your hard work and invaluable contributions to the Eventghost community!!

I have decided to give up my privacy to google and pushbullet for the sake of convenience
I have got a message ('note') pushed to my Samsung tablet already, so it basically works.

Now, I am trying to push a picture of a surveillance camera as soon as a picture is uploaded in a directory.

For this, I use the Directory Watcher plugin that creates an event as soon as a picture is uploaded into the folder.
However, I can not get Pushbullet plugin to push the file:







Any idea what I need to change to get the file accepted by Pushbullet?

There are probably two reasons:
1) Such a possibility, to define the file name using variables, was not yet supported.
You can download version 0.0.8. There it is already supported.
2) On the basis of the attached pictures I think, that you're making a mistake.
Try this: {eg.event.payload[0]}

Hi Pako,

I must apologize to you, as it turns out I was using a very old version of Eventghost (r1544 ) on my test-machine. I now upgraded Eventghost to the latest version r1640 and voila, the picture is indeed sent through to my Android Tablet

I am very happy with the result and thank you again for your contribution (and patience ).

More good news for many PushBullet users:
Connect Pushbullet To 100s Of Other Apps With Zapier!
While I personally have not yet found absolutely no use for Zapier.
But it is not important. I understand that for most users it is really good news.

It is certainly an interesting software product and the user base seems to be growing fast.

My impressions so far (I use it to push screenshots of my PC to an Android tablet upon an Eventghost trigger) are good, but I notice it sometimes takes several minutes before I receive the screenshot on the tablet after activation of the action in Eventghost.

Also, I receive many pushes and each requires an individual and manual delete action after viewing to get rid of the file/notification. This becomes tedious. I don't know if there is a way to mass-delete the pushed notifications, but I have not been able to find it thusfar.
If I don't delete the pushed files, they will pile up and waste my SD storage capacity.

Also, I have not slept and new version (0.0.9) of the plugin is available.

Thank you once more for loosing sleep for the sake of our community You are doing an awesome job, as usual!

I also see one of my earlier gripes has been addressed by the update:

You can now have the push that triggers a Tasker event automatically dismissed or deleted.

The delay-issues that I am having with receiving of the notifications on my Android tablet may be unrelated to the use of Pushbullet. I am currently doing some testing with sending notifications between Eventghost and Android via terRemote, where the same delay-issue pops up. It seems that, when the tablet goes into standby mode (screen off) mode, Eventghost's network sender is no longer allowed to send messages.

I got into EventGhost solely through this plugin. It's working amazingly for me (You helped me on reddit if you remember).

I guess I'm missing something though, is there a way to have a popup notification of the pushed item appear on the desktop (similar to the one that of the chrome extension)? And then have this enabled/disabled per macro.
