While Googling for images, this also popped up as the SL-6399 Media Remote (0040).

Is the remote pictured in 0040 correct, or is this the correct one, or are both compatible with RP-0022.

There is a company that manufactures the PSR-2000 in two different forms: 38kHz and 56kHz.

I do not know if these nameless models include a receiver, so I don't know if they will work.

This looks very similar to 0001, but it is different.

The Mute button for 0001 is between the VOL+- and CH+- buttons.
The Mute button for AAAF is below the VOL+- buttons.

That is all I know about this one so far.

This looks very similar to 0001, but it is different.

The Mute button for 0001 is between the VOL+- and CH+- buttons.
The Mute button for AAAG is below the VOL+- buttons.

The directional pad is like a little joystick, and it has four extra cursor buttons.

It also seems to have a blaster plugged into the receiver.

That is all I know about this one so far.

There is an uncanny similarity between 0001, AAAF, AAAG, and 0034.

The general shape is the same.
The number of buttons is the same, except for AAAG.
The layout of the buttons is the same, except for AAAG.
The shape of the buttons is the same.
All have a LED on the top (where the buttons are).

Obviously, AAAG has a different directional pad, and additional cursor buttons.
Obviously, 0034 is a different colour.
The button functions, and labels, are also different from each other.

It is as if they all have the same OEM, although 0034 does not:

• 0001 Vendor ID: 147A (Formosa Industrial Computing, Inc.)
  0034 Vendor ID: 06B4 (not listed in usb.ids)

Thanks for your query, I was beginning to think that this topic was a waste of time.

Let us refer to your query as AAAH.

First of all, did it come with a transmitter (the hadheld part with buttons) also?
Some of the remote controls for PCs follow the Microsoft MCE remote control recommendations.
The MCE remotes typically use the RC-6 infrared protocol.

What you can try for AAAH are the following MCE remote control plugins:
plugin 1: RP-0016
plugin 2: RP-0017
plugin 3: RP-0018

I am not saying that they will work, this is just a preliminary suggestion.

If it is MCE compatible, there is a registry hack that allows RP-0018 to respond to other IR remote protocols as well.
Also, I doubt that this device has IR blasting capabilities as well, just reception.

What might be most useful is to perform Procedure 01 and report the results here again.

First of all... I found this topic VERY helpful!

It did not come with a remote, just what is in the picture. I've installed it in my PC, and sort of got it working with my TV remote through EG with "Microsoft MCE plugin".

It's great to know that it works with EventGhost, at least with RP-0016.

This is how I originally envisaged the purpose of the topic.

If you get yourself a Logitech Harmony or a Philips Pronto learning remote, then you could probably set up more buttons than are available on your TV remote.
In particular, with RP-0018, you could even choose different IR protocols.

Anyway, if you can get me the Vendor ID and the Product ID using Procedure 01, I can search for more info about it.
Then I can add AAAH to the list of working remotes.

Hi,
I'm quite new to Eventghost but have been using Girder 2.9 and an Igor serial IR receiver for many years however since windows 7 and up Girder is struggling so im trying to move completely to Eventghost however Girder has always worked well with Serial over Bluetooth and the Generic Serial plugin with various bluetooth Arduino Apps on various phones and I recently found this https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... e&hl=en_GB for android which works perfect with Girder but Eventghosts Serial addon isnt showing my BT com ports. Can you help please?

I don't know much about serial port adaptors for Bluetooth.
But perhaps I can suggest trying the Bluetooth plugins instead of the serial plugins.
