First post yay! Haha my question is about using Growl for windows. Specifically growlnotify.exe. I searched the forum but couldn't find anything about it? I'm using a program called M.V.C. as like a personal assistant, and only yesterday got it working with EventGhost, and now I'd like to use EventGhost to send notifications, successful messages, ect to Growl so I can have a more visual confirmation for things, but the growlnotify.exe won't work in EventGhost.
I add an action for starting an application, point it to growlnotify.exe, and add in the arguments, and it doesn't do anything, however M.V.C. I noticed does allow me to use growlnotify.exe just fine. Is it something I'm not understanding I have to do with it? Or just not possible?

Re: Help with EventGhost + Growl
Growlnotify.exe is something built alongside growl that allows external use of growl by command line.Pako wrote:Welcome on board.StgRawrface wrote:First post yay!In your post is no mention of the Growl plugin.StgRawrface wrote:... and now I'd like to use EventGhost to send notifications, successful messages, ect to Growl ...

I tried to install the plugin but I guess it wasn't in the correct directory (even though it was a plugin folder)?

Re: Help with EventGhost + Growl
I think it is absolutely unnecessary to deal with the problem of "how to use the program growlnotify.exe in EventGhost."StgRawrface wrote:Growlnotify.exe is something built alongside growl that allows external use of growl by command line.
It can never be as comfortable as plugin (designated for that purpose).
Growl plugin belong to the same subfolder as all the other plugins (ie "plugins").StgRawrface wrote:I tried to install the plugin but I guess it wasn't in the correct directory (even though it was a plugin folder)?
Please use the latest version (0.0.3).
