Eventghost regularly crashes while I'm gaming using Steam on Big Picture mode. Eventghost is up to date (0.4.1.r1669) and I'm using Windows 8.1. The crash comes after about 20 minutes and I haven't seen any error reports apart from a generic Windows message. I tried a complete reinstall and the problem persists.
It's on my HTPC which I use as a Steam Machine as well, so whenever it happens I have to go and get a keyboard to tab back into my game. I need Eventghost for XBMC, but it's not used in Steam for much (just volume control). With that in mind, is there a way to close Eventghost on Steam startup and restart it when Steam closes?

Yes, just untick 'log only assigned and activated events', and then start Steam. You will need to make sure you have the task create/switch events plug-in running. That should give you an event that you can use to quit EventGhost, but you won't be able to use it to start it. The EG app control plug-in will let you quit EventGhost.
