Plugin: Webcam motion detection

Post by koder »

Hello,

I would like very much to see a plugin which would enable usb-webcams to send events. Specificly:
* motion detected,
* no motion for (x) seconds,
* continuous motion for (x) seconds,

I tried to implement this with external app and directory watcher plugin, but it is far from perfect.

I did found some nifty library to handle everything ( http://www.intel.com/technology/computi ... /index.htm ), even with a nice python interface, so i assume encapsulating it into EventGhosts plugin should not be too hard. Library itself has a lot of realy advanced features, like motion vector recognition or face recognition which would surely be a nice asset EG.

Search for "webcam" on the forum (or "webcam eventghost" on google) turns out some german-lang pages, but unfortunately i don't speak german enough to understand.
