Emulate EG Accross Computers

Post by dacari »

First off let me say a Big thank you for the developer of this amazing program..apologies if this is discussed else where or I am posting in the wrong area. I am new to the program and have the basics down and have no coding skills at all. What I would like to know..is there a way to sync all events between two different computers over LAN? ...Once the proper plugins are installed.

Windows XP
Event Ghost
Insteon & X10

Yes, of course. One way is to use a common message broker and having a message broker client installed in each PC. If all clients are subscribing to the same subject(s) they will all be notified simultaneously on new events.

A typical message broker and clients are Mosquitto (MQTT). I have authored a MQTT Client plugin that together with a MQTT broker would solve your needs. If it is possible without any programming skills at all is unsure.
