I would like to use EventGhost to turn on my set-top box before a SageTV recording, then turn it off after the recording. I would be happy if I could get EventGhost to send the STB power remote signal when the machine comes out of standby then send the power signal again right before the machines goes into standby. Is this possible? If so, how?

Yes. Do your actions on System.Suspend and System.Resume events.
Please post software-related questions in the forum - PMs will only be answered, if really private, thanks!

This will come down to getting XP to fire an event before and after hybernation. I would assume this to be possible however I don't know where to add the commands.

I would also assume this to have a negative impact on reliablity of your DVR.
