PushBullet plugin (Pako)

Hello!

I just recently installed your plugin for Event Ghost and I'm trying to get the "send SMS to multiple recipients up and running". After adding my API Key I try to add numbers in the action menu and I keep seeing an error. I've added the image as an attachment.

I also notice that I seem to have to add people one by one, is there a way I can just add a list or add multiple numbers at once? While I appreciate the plugin, having to add a number one at a time is similar to how I would send SMS's on the pushbullet plugin in Firefox.

Also I am using your latest plugin (0.2.2 I believe) and 0.4.1.r1691 of event ghost. I'd also like to add that I am new to EventGhost entirely.

I apologize, but you have encountered a bug.
It probably originated during some upgrade, when I had accidentally deleted a piece of source text.
You can download the fixed version (0.2.3).

Yes, it is similar procedure as in Firefox. But there is one big difference.
Above procedures you must complete only once.
If you save the configuration, the next time there is no need to do it again (of course I suppose you're going to send SMS to the same people).

I'd also like to add that I am new to EventGhost entirely.

I would like to give you some advice. You can greatly facilitate access to predefined action.
I recommend to look at the plugin System Menu Tree (you can find it in the group Other) and the action Open configuration dialogue (you can find it in EventGhost plugin).
In short - by right-clicking on EventGhost icon in the notification area you can to open the context menu.
There you can have your item (such as "Send SMS to my family").
When you click on this item, the configuration dialog opens, where you have predefined your family.
That you simply type your message and press "Apply, send and close".
That is all.
If you want advice how to do it, do not hesitate to write.

Hmm, well the reason I was doing it was for my business. We send customers who have not visited in X amount of time a friendly SMS reminder / coupons. Often the list is very large and usually it changes. Usually we get an employee to do it manually sending it one by one from a company phone. I figured using pushbullet would make it easier since the number are generated in excel and this reduces the need to retype anything.

I wonder if there is some way I can speed up the process and add multiple numbers in EventGhost and send via pushbullet that way. Or a suggestion for a different solution. I could try an SMS blast company however doing it this way turns out to be much cheaper (although more time consuming). In any case I look forward to trying to see if this works.

Just wanted to let you know that the update worked. Unfortunately it is not particularly usable for me since I can only use contacts stored in my phone (not just a random number) and I still have to add one by one. I'd still like to thank you for the wonderful plugin and introducing me to EventGhost. Thanks again!

Yes, this is how it works in the current version.
There is checked, if the specified phone number is included in the phonebook.
But you can use any number you want.
You can write it, or use the copy / paste ...
It is not necessary to choose from the dropdown menu.
So I can exclude such checks (possibly optional) and part of the problem is resolved.

I can also add another action, say, titled "Send bulk SMS to list from file".
What file format is right for you?
I can import a list of numbers, for example, from a text file or from an XML file.
I think that both formats can be selected when exporting from Excel.

Wow, that would be amazing if you could do that! Ideally a CSV would probably be best in terms of use case for everyone. For my needs a text would do quite well. An XML would be too much work to parse haha.

2) If the answer to question 1) is yes, what character is used as a separator (I prefer TAB)
3) What kinds of phone number format you are using ?

I have one question. How does a event look when sent from another user, not myself? I'm guessing it relates too eg.event.payload[3], but I dont have a second account to test sending myself a message from to see how it changes.

I use Pushbullet events to controll my Home when I'm not there. So I should check that other people can not turn off my security with a simple pushbullet message from an unauthorized sender.

In both cases, the payload formats are identical, but there is one important difference.
If it is your own push, then the payload [3] = nickname of your device.
If it is a push from your friend, then the payload [3] = name of your friend (the same you see on the menu where you select a target for push).
You can use the following Python Script as a filter:

Skrip stops executing macro, if the (nick)name from payload does not belong to the list of nicknames of all of your devices.

1) Hmm so one column would be fine to do I imagine, no need to support multiple columns.
2) I'm not sure how excel would handle TAB, I imagine a comma would be best? (",")
3) Personally I'm using phone numbers without any special characters in it i.e. xxxxxxxxxx. However, pushbullet (from what I understand) seems to be okay with taking various different formats from my testing, so not sure if you need to cater for that as long as the values are comma separated?

Those are my requirements ideally. It would be best to look toward generalizing it I guess so it's useful for everyone!

You can try it out (version 0.2.4).
If just one column, I do not need to deal with the separator.
I have in mind number formats as here :

I tried to make the algorithm so that it was the most benevolent to number formats.
However, slashes and dots the current version does not support.

I noticed Pushbullet now has sms capability if you have the pushbullet app on your smartphone. Is there any way to get this to work with the pushbullet plugin? I also noticed I don't see the SMS option unless I have the pushbullet chrome plugin installed as well.

Of course, SMS functionality was long ago added to Pushbullet plugin.

This whole time I was using an old version of the plugin. I upgraded both Eventghost and the pushbullet plugin and everything is PERFECT now!!!!!!!

Something seems to have gone a little crazy in my pushbullet setup,
I'm getting the error

Is there a way for me to check the x-ratelimit via the plugin?
