Hi forum--
Brand new user here. Win8.1, EG0.4.1.r1700. I have the MCE plugin loaded (ORC-1100 Vista MCE Remote Control). It works well. I can move mouse around, direction arrows, etc. So I want to create some macros and therefore need the events to add to them. But when I press buttons on the remote, even though they work, nothing is logged for me to d-n-d to a macro. I feel like I'm missing something very basic here.
Thanks!

PS1 I have gone to Windows add/remove features and disabled Windows Media Center (I don't use it). So the remote doesn't work now unless I start EG.
PS2 When I add the MPC-HC plugin, I totally can't control MPC-HC. It just does weird things. But I'll deal with that later if needed. All I really need is to map some remote buttons to some macros (like mapping green Start button to launch MPC-HC).

Noob: MCE events don't log
Re: Noob: MCE events don't log
One addendum. The remote actually does work when EG is disabled. Not sure if that matters.

Check out the Remote Controls topic.
I think you might have a 0005 or 0006 or 0007 or 0008 remote, which means you are using the wrong plugin for it.
