Sure.
How can I get it to generate an event like a media change IE when a movie changes, or a track ?
To get events from Kodi/XBMC you need to activate "JSON-RPC notifications" in the XBMC2 plugins settings. Unless you are using a very old version (XBMC 10/11 maybe don't remember right now) that don't support it, broadcast is for old XBMCs (or if you use a plugin in XBMC that uses it).
You also need to activate some stuff in Kodi/XBMCs settings,
"Services->UPnP->Allow control of Kodi/XBMC via UPnP" needs to be activated so the XBMC2 plugin detects when Kodi is starting.
You might need to activate
"Services->Remote control->Allow programs on other systems to control Kodi".
Do I need to add in any other plugins ?
No other plugins are needed.
I am at that point where reading more is actually confusing me more and the thread for the plugin is massive. Sorry if I missed something obvious, but I have spun myself out of the realm of logic on this. Can someone help me with this, or point me somewhere ? The different ports are confusing me especially as to which is what.
There should be better documentation about this stuff not having to read 100 of posts, but last time I tried to do some documentation I had a heart-attack.
