Lirc keyboard volume key and Remote

Post by n0xew »

Hi,

I'm using lirc along with EventGhost to remotely control my PC (as everyone else here I guess ^^), but I've got a small issue : the shortcuts keys on my keyboard to mute/increase/decrease volume are recognized by EventGhost as if I was using my remote, thus for example the mute button on my remote toggles mute system, but on my keyboard it toggles it first as its normal behaviour, then is detected by EventGhost as Lirc.MUTE and then toggles mute again (= in the end, does nothing).

I tried remapping my remote with Lirc by giving to sound buttons stupid names like Lirc.ABC_U for volume up, but still EventGhost detects my keyboard volume up key as Lirc.ABC_U and uses the macro defined for the remote...Same with shortcut on my mouse to toggle sound.

If somebody with more advanced knowledge could help I'd be really grateful :)
Thanks in advance!
