EventGhost On Windows login screen

I'm fairly new to Eventghost so forgive me if I don't make sense.

I have Eventghost sending a notification to my phone (Via Autoremote) when eventghost is booted up. Eventghost only boots up once I have logged into my PC by typing my password. Is there any way it can start up automatically on the Windows Login screen so I receive the notification on my phone without having the type in the password to login into Windows? It is Windows 8.1.

To run EventGhost before you login, I think you need to run EventGhost as a service. Found a discussion here.

Thanks for the link. It seemed to be more focused on concurrent remote desktop sessions which is not really the problem for me. But it did say EG can't be run as a windows service. It is a pretty old thread so is this still the case?

I have successfully used XYNT to run EG as service. This was on XP 32 bit and I have no idea if it still works with Win7/Win8.
