Re: TellStick Duo
Dear Filandre,
Is true and should work what you propose. However, this question belongs to the wrong topic, it should be addressed to 'OpenNetHomeServer' plugin thread since that is how the TellStick Duo in this case is installed, i.e. the TellStickDuo plugin is not used.
@Mastiff, please try to correct your posting

Re: TellStick Duo
I'm trying to update your plugin to the latest version. I believe I have a pretty old version of the plugin installed.
Now when i'm trying to update to the latest version I get an error.
I have followed your upgrading guide and I have also tried older versions of your plugin but I still get errors.
First part of the errors is when I'm trying to configure the plugin. The last part is when I'm trying to start it. Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Re: TellStick Duo
I think you have no device connected, maybe TelldusCenter is not running...
Re: TellStick Duo
I'ts running because it works fine after I close EG and copy my old backup of TellstickDuo plugin-folder back to the EG plugin-folder and restart EG.

Re: TellStick Duo
The problem is because the new version has some feature the old version is lacking. That's why you get that error message.
Please try to do the migration again and follow the steps below. Indicate if any step fails.
Preferred way:
- disable the TellStickDuo plugin in EG, save and exit EG
- replace the files with the content of the zip-file
- restart EG
- open the configuration dialog for the TellStickDuo plugin
- make any modifications to the settings
- click OK, enable the plugin and it should start
- save EG
There is a more advanced way to fix the problem but try the above first

Re: TellStick Duo
Sorry for the late reply.
I have already tried that, so it'll unfortunately have to be the more advanced way.

Re: TellStick Duo
Alright. then this is a way
1) First figure out where your current EG configuration file is stored (normally in C:\Users\Your user\AppData\Roaming\EventGhost and name with extension .xml)
2) From inside EG, create a new configuration and add only the TellStick Duo plugin
3) Save the configuration, assuming the name "TellStickDuo.xml"
4) Close down EG
Now, use a decent editor like Notepad++ (you could do with normal Notepad if you fancy that) and open up both configuration files
a) find the section for the TellStickDuo plugin in both files, they will look similar to the following
b) Delete the section in the old configuration and replace with a copy from the new
c) Save the changed file, restart EG
d) EG will start with last used configuration, in your case the one with the TellStickDuo plugin only, so now as last thing, from inside EG, open your previous configuration you just updated
e) It should now work ok

Re: TellStick Duo
It worked perfectly, Thanks!
Re: TellStick Duo
Hi guys and girls. I think I am going to need your support. First of all, I need to admit that this is my first post, and I am also very new to Eventghost.
I have been trying very hard to develop my home automation further but have not find a good solution, I am hoping that Eventghost and terrific plugins might be what I need.
I use this Tellstick-plugin (since I have a Duo), and I think I have setup this plugin correctly, it works great when I perform the "test".
What I want to do is to turn on/off certain lights depending on sensor events (in this specific case, a magnet switch called "tvättstugan"). When this magnet switch opens, I want to turnoff the light called "Bottenvåning, Vardagsrum, Taklampa". Eventghost is also aware of the magnet switch, see picture below.

This setup does not really work as I expect it to, but I am sure that I have done something wrong. Can anyone please tell me what I have done wrong?
Thank you in advance!

Re: TellStick Duo
Yeah, sorry about that. But the picture only shows my setup, I think we can disregard the picture. However, I think I got one step closer the last days though.krambriw wrote:The image you posted is not shown correctly, try again please
Now the sensors triggers the wanted actions in EG. When the magnet switch is opened, it is detected by EG, and commands to turn lights on is sent. This is verified in Telldus Center where I can see that the lights is being turned on (actually, one is dimmed up to 50%). But nothing happens in reality, the lights are still off.
I try to use the same setup but with the Switchking plugin to turn them on and that works. Switchking is however painfully slow, I rather use your plugin.
Best Regards
Henrik
EDIT: Well, I tried again after posting this. It now seems to work as expected. My bad!

Re: TellStick Duo
Finns det något smidigt sätt att läsa av sensorer med EG-pluginet eller måste man plocka ut RAW-data och läsa det i python?
Vore ritkigt najs att kunna läsa av sensorer som events och sätta actions baserat på dem.

Re: TellStick Duo
You should see also normal sensor events, not only raw events in log window
In principle, depending on your specific needs, you can always use python scripts to extract the information you need for further processing. In this case, the humidity and temperature is provided in the so called event payload (there are a number of examples on this site how to extract data from payloads)
To use this data in a more useful way, I created the ClimateDataCalculation plugin. As example of provided functionality in this plugin:

To use this data in a more useful way, I created the ClimateDataCalculation plugin. As example of provided functionality in this plugin:
If you combine the TellStickDuo plugin (to receive events) with the ClimateDataCalculation plugin (to capture sensor data and calculate results) you can control heating's, fans etc- For temperature and humidity, the plugin calculates one moving average. This is then used in combination with the set-point and optionally the hysteresis to create events when the lines are crossing each other. The more readings you select, the slower the response to changes. This is a very useful function to avoid too many status changes when for instance controlling heaters with on/off control equipment (you might temporary open a door or window but the heater should not react immediately)
- In addition you can add a hysteresis value that will set the upper and lower band (set-point +/- hysteresis/2) for the moving average before it triggers an event
- You can select if you want to use the rule evaluation that will generate those events or not. Currently I have only one rule 'equal-less-greater' that will generate events when moving average gets equal, less or greater than its reference.
Best regards, Walter

Re: TellStick Duo
Hi krambriw
I wanted to download the plugin, but the website seems to be down. (Both http://krambriw.net/ and http://sto.hopto.org/Release/TellStickDuo/ ).
Would it be possible to download the plugin from somewhere else?
Thanks a lot in advance.
Best regards,
Kese
EDIT: It's online again. Thanks!
