MCE IR Blaster output

I was wondering were developement is on a plugin for ir output, eventghost is amazing and I saw that this feature was something that was to come, i am mostly just looking for an update.

How many zones do they have?

EG does have native support for the USB UIRT which has 3 zones and a reciever. I just never used anything MCE so I have no clue on what they can do.

it has two ir blaster ports off the back, the reason i am chomping at the bit for its support is that HIP won;t read what my tv remote is doing but eventghost does.

Actually the betas have an MCE transmit action since many versions. But it is completely untestet, because I don't have any blasters for the MCE remote unit. I would need to build some.

HIP and EG are using the same "driver" from Bruno Fleurette, so it makes me wonder, why HIP doesn't receive the codes. But I'm expecting that the MCE blasters won't work as an emitter for all remotes. The solution from MS is much to simple to emulate every code.

ok so i dl 3.5b (which i am assuming is the beta) and i can;t find the plugin that would need to add, sorry for being such a dunce but can you walk me through where it is...

got the on/off code for my tv to read in (Panasonic th-42pd25) (its kinda finicky) but it won't transmit to the tv so i guess its still in development

I gave up on the MCE Blaster. I found that it worked intermittently and would often stop working completely for no apparent reason. There were also some IR codes it could never learn.

I ended up buying a USB-UIRT and have not had any problems since. It recognises all my IR codes and sends IR signals reliably. You can use the MCE remote with the USB-UIRT receiver.

My 2c.
