I did a scan through this forum, but didn't see this particular question addressed -- my apologies if I missed it:

If I have a particular application in focus and activated within EG (i.e., MediaPortal), then invoke another application (i.e., VLC player) from within MediaPortal, how can I tell EG to 'switch to' the VLC context folder? Do I need to enable context folders for both MP and VLC when MP is first invoked? Anyone have a good example of how this is done? I've been unsuccessful in getting it to work thus far.

Use the "Task" plugin and map the events for VLC and MP focus to corresponding "enable exclusive" actions.
