[DONE] Volume control for devices other than primary

Post by loomy »

This is different than that other thread!! He was asking for different volume controls on the same device. I'm asking for the same volume control on a different device.

Specifically, the situation is: Two sound cards in the computer. One is default, and EG controls that fine. Another is not default. EG cannot control that right now. I would like it to control this non-default device. I just want to change/mute the master volume on this other device.

I don't have a second sound card in my system, so I can't really try it out. I have extended the "Set Master Volume" action with a choice box in the latest beta. Try it out and report your findings.

You are the master blaster, it appears to work perfectly! If you make the same change to the other volumes, the world will be a better place. :) :o :D

Report: The Change Master Volume options here only act upon the primary/default device. So when set to act on device #4, they do not.

Set Master Volume still works properly.

The Toggle Mute works. (Fun fact: I guess due to a bug in my sound card drivers, the mute all doesn't actually work at all)
