Multiple Macros

Post by amnesia »

I'm brand baby new at this whole automation thing but wanted to give it a shot. I've had small successes so far with setting up EventGhost, Autoremote, Tasker and Trigger to all work together to perform a task, such as locking my PC upon touching an NFC tag I have. I have created two separate macros in EventGhost: one for putting my PC to sleep and one for locking it (both acting remotely from my Android device) acting as trial tasks to learn the programs. I set up each macro just right and can perform each task via Trigger just fine. The problem I'm having is that, let's say I want to put my computer to sleep; if the last macro opened on EG was that one, or if no other macro is currently on EG then I can perform that task. But, if I have, for instance, the lock screen task open in EG then I cannot perform the sleep task, even if using only the message trigger from the AutoRemote app on my phone.

The EG macros are being saved in the EG folder as XML files all by default. I'm running the latest version of all apps and this PC is my work PC so it's running Windows 7. I'm also running into issues using EG on multiple PC's (work and home) on my phone...but I'll save that for another post I suppose.

Thanks!

If you would be willing to take a screen shot of your EG tree with the tree items expanded and the macros expanded for the items in question and post to this forum thread that would be most helpful.

Screen Shot: have EG in focus press and hold the alt key and tap the print screen button while holding the alt key

open some image editing program like ms paint press and hold Ctrl and tap V

This will paste the image

Save the file and then add it to a forum post in this thread

Note: add the image file inline to the forum post please
If you like the work I have been doing then feel free to Image
