Detect current audio hardware / headphones

Post by skribb »

I am wondering if there is a way for EG to detect if the currently used audio hardware is speakers, headphones etc.

The reason is that I have a lot of audio playing from EG. With speakers the volume is fine, but if I use headphones the volume is so loud I have to throw off my headphones in decibel-induced panic everytime EG plays an audio file.

I know there is a plugin for changing the master volume but somehow it isn't effecting the volume of the headphones. Which is a bit of a side-track, but still related to my above issue.

Any help appreciated. thanks :)

I am currently using the app Default Audio Changer by Sergiu Geurgiu to switch between speakers and headphones. Thought I should add that in case it helps in the troubleshooting of this issue.
