Hello,
I've been using EventGhost (release and beta) for some time. All is well, except for the fact that controlling Winamp is rather slow.
For example, when I press play/pause, it takes roughly 2 1/2 seconds for the command to go through. This is NOT the case with system commands and controlling Zoomplayer.
I've tried everything! Using stable release, but am using latest (as of 9/10/07) release of EventGhost. I use Winamp v5.11, but have tried LATEST release AND beta of Winamp. Same problem.
I'm about 99% certain it's something with EventGhost. All the other programs don't have this problem. Only with EventGhost + Winamp.
Using the Plugin X10 Snapstream Firefly remote.

Any idea what it could be/how to fix?

Re: Lag in controlling Winamp
You have to disable your Zoom Player folder, if you use Winamp.

You're right, that fixed it temporarily, but is there any way to fix this behavior? Could it be fixed in the next nightly build? Enabling MPC/VLC/System controls doesn't interfere with Winamp's controls, so why should Zoomplayer? It just doesn't make sense.
Sometimes I have Winamp + ZP playing @ once and would love it if both would be able to be controlled without lag.
Thanks!

Re: Lag in controlling Winamp
If Zoom Player is running, it won't have a lag. If Zoom Player is not running, every action will try to connect to Zoom Player and will time out after one second without success.

Re: Lag in controlling Winamp
Hi Bit,
Is there any change to add an action/macro/whatever to change the timeout time for paging Zoomplayer from 1 second to something like 0.3 so it doesn't interfere with Winamp's controls?
I already made a button to disable ZP's folder when I click a button, but finding an alternate solution would be great too.

Enable/Disable your Zoom Player folder with the Task plugin.

What do you use zommplayer for? (I am not a zoomplayer user.)

Hi ColinR, sorry for the delayed response. I need to watch these threads.CollinR wrote:What do you use zommplayer for? (I am not a zoomplayer user.)
Zoomplayer is HANDS DOWN the best HTPC player ever. I've tried all of them (MPC, VLC, KMP, Mplayer, everything).
I still have MPC/VLC for times when I need them, but ZP is my favorite. I watch custom ripped anime back to back with ZP + EG.
The best combo I've found yet.
