Launching Windows 10 apps from EG

Post by cculpepp »

I'm new to EG and have a Windows 10 HTPC running Kodi and SageTV. I've got EG running pretty smoothly launching and switching back and forth between the two programs using my Logitech Harmony 650. One thing I haven't figured out how to do is launch a Windows 10 app using EG since the executables for these apps are hidden away in the WindowsApps folder under program files. I can't seem to get access to this folder even with Administrator privileges. Any help on how to get to these programs and launch them with EG would be greatly appreciated.

ITs up to the developer to include this functionality but there are quite a few you can launch from the command line using the start:// command. For example, to launch netflix, type start://netflix in a command prompt. It doesn't work for Vudu, or Hulu. but it works for every microsoft app so groove, xbox, and MS movies and tvs it does work.
