Some questions from beginning user

Post by dee'ice »

Hi, i've been using EG for 3 days and I've some questions. First of all, why od i have to double click on my remote control in order to any expected actions work? How to change it? Secondly, how can I relocate between programs, especially when my Foobar2000 is minimized, and i want to return to it while using for example AllPlayer? I don't now yet how to use options like "find a window", "bring to front", I tried but it didn't work.I will be grateful for help. (my remote control is Medion X10 if it matters)

Don't know about that one, is it the only remote your use? I did a quick search and couldn't find any info on it.

Write your macro with the Foobar window open. Add the "Find Window" action to your macro first and drag the crosshairs from it and drop them onto Foobar. That should enable EventGhost to find the window when it's minimized.

Second, add the "Maximize Window" action and then just for good measure add the "Bring Window To Front" action and then the action your wanting to send. After you use the "Find Window" action all other window actions in the same macro should refer to the same window automatically.

Now I know, but I don't understand why there is a problem with double-click, I describe it in points:

1. I installed drivers to remote control, later EventGhost --> there is a problem with double click
2. Because I couldn't manage how to use it, later I installed also polish program "Zdalne Sterowanie 2.1" (which is,reportedly, simplier) without uninstalling EG before
3. There is no problem - In EG as well as ZS I can press only one button in order to action work!
4. I thought that everything is ok, so I decided to uninstall ZS, but then - the problem appeared again
I insalled and unistalled again and again....... Just now I reinstall ZS, and - there isn't any problem.

It is really strange, isn't it?

What name does the driver have in the devicemanager?
If not "X10 USB Wireless Transceiver V2.36", try to uninstall it and install the driver from here:

Please post software-related questions in the forum - PMs will only be answered, if really private, thanks!
