hey,
starting a new thread for this one so i don't muddle the screen thread.
i just found a new use for EG but before i start digging, i was going to throw it out there to you. my HA panel as mentioned is a web interface. currently i am using Chrome for it although i am not married to Chrome. to get full feature, desired effect i need it to run in full screen mode. i can set that initially but if i "refresh", "reload", or launch an additional browser to browse with, Chrome resets to standard settings with tabs, favorites, etc. i cannot seem to get it to stay in full screen mode.
is this something EG can help me do? if browser mode changes, switch back to full screen mode?
thanks again!

change your browser... chrome sucks. has a huge memory leak problem. if left open to long as i am sure it would be if you are going to use it as an interface for a touch panel. it will keep on consuming memory until your machine crashes. unless you use EG to restart it on a daily basis.
and as far as answering your question. Yes EG can take care of making sure the screen stays in full screen mode.
or we can do the easy solution and start chrome with the --kiosk command line switch. copy the existing chrome shortcut. paste it then edit it and add the -- kiosk to the end of the executable.

sometimes it's the simple things that solve the problem. and they are usually right there and get overlooked...
But yeah there are way to many "kiosk" type displays out there that only give you limited access through a browser. so i figured the 3 heavy hitters for windows would have to have a kiosk option and since firefox is chromium based that covers 2 of the 3 heavy hitters. and IE is almost a dead browser not that many people still use it (well i don't think that they have the same numbers they used to)
