Advanced Q: check App every 5 min, if not running, run app!

Hi all,

Title halfassedly says it all. This is a really important function I hope EG can help me with.


My phone service is through MagicJack (google it) and I run a softphone that runs on my laptop. Sometimes the software quits and I'm not aware/or @ home and my phone goes down.

This is what I want to do:

*) Enable the macro using EG autostart "Main.OnInit" (I know how to do this)

1) EG checks whether process is running every 5 minutes
2) IF process isn't running, then run it ****with commandline options*** : "C:\Documents and Settings\STi Sev\Application Data\mjusbsp\magicJack.exe" /foreground /scf _magicJackPersonalDataRoot "L:\magicJack"

3) IF process is running just check again in 5 minutes and repeat.

Please please please someone help


EG is amazingly advanced, but is this even possible? I really, really hope there's a way.

2 issues though:

1) The script doesn't run every 5 minutes.
2) Is there any way to do this without using WMI implementation?

I don't understand, for me it works. An event is triggered every 300 seconds (by Timer).

Of course, it is also done in another way. One possibility is attached.

1) Ahahah. It would be nice if I added the timer plugin to my EG list. *oops*! Also, the second XML you posted has the timer in it (while the first does not)
