hey guys,
i have a cyberlink remote (http://www.ebuyer.com/product/129977) which i've already mapped onto my harmony 555.
problem: when i fire up eventghost, i can put it in as a generic HID, and when i press buttons (up down) it does move up and down, but the actions do not appear in the log, hence i cannot map the xbmc commands onto the remote.
i've tried adding xbmc as just the standard plugin (uses the latest plugin i found on these boards for my latest xbmc beta). i see all the buttons there but they don't actually map to anything just yet.
any ideas/ pointers?

cyberlink remote + eventghost + xbmc

This remote is odd, some buttons work as a keyboard and some as generic HIDs.
add a keyboard plugin for these buttons:
left
right
up
down
ok
clear
enter
0-9
Prev track*
Next track*
stop*
volume up*
volume down*
mute - triggers*
add a generic HID with an event prefix of 1 for these buttons:
Red
Green
Yellow
Blue
Home
Live TV
SAP
Subtitle
BACK
Teletext
Language
Last CH
Angle
DVD Menu
add a second generic HID with and event prefix of 2 for these buttons:
Record
Radio
CH up
CH down
Info/EPG
Prev track*
Next track*
stop*
volume up*
volume down*
mute*
add a third generic HID with and event prefix of 3 for these buttons:
Power
that should be all the buttons.
* some buttons trigger keyboard and HID events
You will just need to try all the HIDs until you find the right one for each section, for me it was the HID Mouse devices, I didn't need to use the raw data option.
you might have some issues with detection of which HID device is which upon restarting, especially if you unplug the remote receiver.
alternatively there is a plugin for mediaportal which maps media portal shortcuts to the remote buttons:
