Problem with plugin "MCE Remote"

Post by Ebbi »

Hi,

I'm using EventGhost 0.3.6.1484 with Windows XP SP3 non-MCE (maxed out by Microsoft Update ;) ).
I just installed EventGhost and run into the following error:

Code: Select all

Plugin: Microsoft MCE Remote
Error starting plugin: Microsoft MCE Remote
Traceback (most recent call last) (1484):
File "C:\Programme\EventGhost\eg\Classes\PluginInfo.py", line 299, in Start
File "C:\Programme\EventGhost\plugins\MceRemote\__init__.py", line 278, in __start__
File "C:\Programme\EventGhost\plugins\MceRemote\__init__.py", line 344, in CheckHidState
WindowsError: [Error 2] Das System kann die angegebene Datei nicht finden
My MCE remote is made by Toshiba, model is PX1246E-1ETC. ImageImage

Maybe I need a different plugin for this remote?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks.
It is plugged in, as the navigation works in XBMC.
But I want to take advantage of all buttons of the remote. ;)

It seems that "MCE remote" is not right and I should go with the "Generic X10" plugin.
