need help changing channels from SageTV to EG

Help!

I am currently at my wits end..... I can not get SageTV to communicate with EG!

First of all, I know that it isn't EG. The problem seems to lie in SageTV sending the info to EG. I am using the 'EXETunerPlugin' to do the work. I followed the instructions I found. (i.e. putting the EXETunerPlugin.dll into the common folder, putting the key in the registry pointing to EG, and all)

I just can't seem to get the darn thing to work! I even tried to point the registery key to 'Notepad.exe' to have it open when it receives a code. I didn't work! I was able to test everything thing else that comes after SageTV sends the codes and it works. I just can't get the forst part working!

I did notice something strange while setting it up in Sage... If, after selecting the EXETunerPlugin to do the changing, I went to the 'Change Tuning Device', the list was blank, even though I dropped the files into the 'RemoteCodes\EXE Tuner Plugin' directory for each of the set top boxes I wanted to control. Is that normal?

I am wondering if EXETunerPlugin can't wok on my Vista 64bit system. I've had problems with other software, but at least with them, they told me they didn't work. This just doesn't do anything at all!

Is there possibly another program that would work better? (or at least *just work* )

If anyone has any ideas.... I would love to hear them!
