what set system to System.UnIdle?

Is there anyway for the log to show what caused the event System.UnIdle to get triggered? I am trying to troubleshoot what application or service would be causing my PC to not enter standby mode and this would be extremely helpful.

System.Idle is created by EG's keyboard and mouse hook. It has no direct connection with the Windows idle timer. If you have activated the Keyboard plug-in and see no events if this happens, most likely you mouse has moved, as this is mostly the only remaining cause.

I didn't touch the mouse or the keyboard....hmmmm. I'll investigate further. Maybe I bumped the table the mouse was suitting on, it's a pretty sensitive optical mouse.

Doesn't really matter though, since it's not the system idle timer I was hoping it was

Well, my mouse cursor also moves sometimes without a physical mouse move. Dirt in the optical path can cause this.

Thank you for the replies. I sure wish there was a way to view the windows system idle timer. There doesn't seem to be a single tool out there to help trouble shoot standby issues. What a PIA. Oh well, I'll just have to figure it out the 'ol fashion way.

If you have a storage path mapped to SageTV on that box and have sage set to randomly rescan it will prevent the machine from going to standaby.

Thanks for the thought, but that is not the case. I only use Sage for recording TV all other media related stuff is in Meedio/XBMC and neither have an automatic scan of a UNC drive.
