I have recently discovered EG in my quest to find a decent remote control program for my PC. This looks like the program for me, however I don't know how to write scripts and I need one for what I want. This is the help I need.
I need a script that will take the number inputs from my remote and send it to channelw.exe so that I may change channels on my stb, one thing i noticed is when i try to play with the program and use numbers I get a double input in the text field I'm testing in. (this happens when I use multitap) it seems the rwp driver sends events to programs with input boxes.
I have a remote wonder plus using vista and vista drivers for the remote which doesn't allow the addons like previous versions.
I know it's a lot to ask but I hope someone can help. With this said I would like to say ThankYou in advance.
Thanks , I had the X10 and Ati drivers running at the same time. Followed the directions and everything works fine now. I'm trying this on windows 7, works fine.
Hi, I figured I post this file so that other noobs looking for a way to use ChannelW.exe Can use it with Event Ghost. I realize from my first post I did not need to script to get results. EG is indeed a great Program.
Now you must know that this may or may not control your particular STB To find out more you should read Timm Moore's readme included with the STB drivers. Also, there are some updated drivers on the net, if you have a more modern STB than mentioned in his readme. I also used the -f command with the program because although my STB is supported with the new drivers I still needed it to control my box. I'm currently using a comcast dvr converted to tivo so not all commands were available for use. Experiment until you find what works for you and don't forget to add your own actions if necessary I used X10 Remote plugin.
