I'd like EG to IR-blast every code it receives through USB-UIRT.
I was able to partially achieve that by teaching it some of the codes, and attaching IR-blast action
to remote-codes, but that is a very time consuming procedure.
Pass-through seems like a possible feature, is it not?

I'm not sure if it is a hardware limit but AFAIK this does not work.

When I teach the blast action the code I want to transmit, and then attach the same code to the
macro as the event, the pass through works well.
The problem is that its very tedious to teach 50 codes, and create 50 macros, just to "not do
anything", except passing the code from event to blast action.
That brings to question, why does teaching USB-UIRT a code needs to be at close range, while receiving
an IR command works from far away? I guess there's something inherently different between how the transmitted code works, and how the received code is deciphered.

I have read somewhere that the USB-UIRT uses an additional part for better learning which only works on a rather short distance.

I could be wrong, but I afaik the close range sensor is used to learn the codes because it can detect the carrier frequency used by the ir device.

You are both right. It seems that to blast an IR code, you need the full code, but to receive a code you use
a short code. The full code can be taught using the short range sensor. The long range sensor is getting
only the short code.
I wish someone could explain the difference and the relationships between these codes.
