EventGhost + X10 + CM19A for surveillance camera control

Post by openbox »

Need some clarification:

Couldn't find any reasonably priced pan/tilt camera mounts so I put a good camera on the cheap X10 ninja base.

I see that the CM19A is supposed to receive AND SEND RF signals to it to pan/tilt it remotely (eg. http://cgi.ebay.com/X10-PC-Transceiver- ... dZViewItem )

This little device seems very much like my firefly usb RF receiver and I read that they are both made by X10 but not sure really.

Now looking for a way for EGhost to send RF signals to move the base. Anybody got anything similar going? Do I need the CM19A specifically?

Thanks!

I never had such X10 modules, so I cannot give any definite answer.

One user has some X10 modules but they work over the powerline. He was able to control everything with a commandline application that was delivered with the module. So maybe there is a similiar one for the CM19A.
