3.7 requires almost complete remap for XBMC -- arg

Post by Livin »

About half of the buttons look like they need to be remapped since the 3.7 code changed stuff.

Please tell me that newer versions will not require any more IR remappings?

On a positive note, it seems that EG recognizes some of the IR codes directly... like Stop, Menu, etc. Maybe there could be an auto-map feature to map them to keyboard commands by default?
setup... XBMC, W7MC for DVR & Live OTA TV, JRMC for multi-zone audio, EG, MiCasaVerde Vera3, USB-UIRT IR receiver, Harmony remote, 5.2 home theater system

Keep in mind we are at only the 0.3.7 version, so there may be still be some changes along the way.

This question is really for Bitmonster though.

I tried to remap the keys and it did not work... I had to go back to 3.6.

Maybe I don't understand what is needed for .7 since it logs very different data than 3.6 - an explanation, with screenshots, would help.

bitm?
