Philips SRM 5100 & Vista x64 & Eventghost
Re: Philips SRM 5100 & Vista x64 & Eventghost
Isn't it an MCE remote?
Re: Philips SRM 5100 & Vista x64 & Eventghost
Well... actually yes. But it doesn't seem to work with the standard MCE-Profile. It doesn't log any keys I press at all.
With Winamp, everything works right out of the Box. Can't test it with MediaCenter as I have Vista Business. I have no clue what Profile will work...
BTW: I did get that right? It IS supposed to log pressed keys?

Yes it's supposed to log them. Just make sure you have unchecked the box "Log only assigned and active events"
Re: Philips SRM 5100 & Vista x64 & Eventghost
Yes, it is unchecked. Actually, these are the steps I did in Eventghost:
1. New plugin -> Microsoft MCE Remote
2. Try pressing buttons. If I press the "up"-button on my remote, i can move up and down the list in eventghost, but it doesn't log anything at all.
No clue what I can do to fix it...

Re: Philips SRM 5100 & Vista x64 & Eventghost
Did anyone get the standard Microsoft MCE Remote Control Device working with Vista x64?
Now I tried to install the replacement drivers as listed here: http://www.eventghost.org/wiki/MCE_Remote_FAQ
But I can't even install them, it always says that the driver ist not suited and that I have to make sure it is made for x64. Gosh.... I'm tired of this crap.

Re: Philips SRM 5100 & Vista x64 & Eventghost
It works!! Just tried all and i was lucky with HID-Plugin.
Got another problem though (probably standard):
One button pressed once gives me this:
HID.Button.1+13+4+15+128+32
The same button pressed once again gives me this:
HID.Button.1+13+132+15+128+32
This makes it impossible to just press buttons once, you always have to press the buttons twice in order to work. Any clues why?

Works. Just used both event for one action.

Where did http://www.eventghost.org/wiki/MCE_Remote_FAQ go?
I've started a new topic about this at http://www.eventghost.org/forum/viewtop ... f=2&t=1950.
EDIT: This has now been fixed.
